The Scent of spring

On the road again...
The Rocky's come in sight,

So magnisifent exspecially from air!

Pristine - eternal ice beauty?!

F*uck yeah! :)

A river?

Row after row after row...

Somewhere down their is Lake Louise! Sniff Sniff!!!

...

Made my way to Vancouver and am well. I got the bus in Lake Louise and the plane in Calgary without any trouble. Met a funny Indian guy on the plane and we chatted during the whole flight. Fellow is from Mumbai. Here to set something up for Telus to bill customers for mobile phone use. His first trip out of India. So cute his excitement was – himself unfortunately not that much. ;) That’s the way Yoda would put it. J Coming back to Vancouver was a trip down the memory line. Things changed – but coming back made me think of my trip form Oz coming over first. How miserable I was. How grey cold and poor the city seemed to be. How the water squished in my ripped shoe soles with every step. First thing I decided was I had to much damned stuff. So heavy. Through some little things out. Phu!

Pretty!

This time around Vancouver made a much better impression. It is warmer than my last destination - so lively. Thousands of cherry trees blossom all over town – love it. Strolled down to the beach. Oh the first time seeing the Ocean again after a long year without it! I love it - I need it. I realized for sure wherever I settle the Ocean shall not be far from it… Went to a lovely Asian place for dinner. Yellow curry – yumyum! I am so happy – so excited about my trip even though I am slightly uncomfortable. Being out of my usual surroundings...

Awe!

Home security at the US Border.
Argh. One can be doing one's job serious without being mean! Some get that some do not. The first officer I had contact with behaved like the tough guy and you could tell he enjoyed to intimidate people! Grrrr.

Seattle Airport. Went down from Vancouver by bus. Funny faces ey?!

Yes Baby - my company - maybe my plane?

A sea of marshmallow...

As child I dreamt of walking on the clouds - how they would be soft and smell good...

Getting close to San Fran.

San Fran.

Golden Gate Bridge from air!!!

Leaving Lake Louise

Time to say:

Goodbye my lover.
Goodbye my friend.
You have been the one.
You have been the one for me.

Spring in Lake Louise I

Snowshoetracks on the river - soon to vanish.

The ice makes a beautiful sound when it breaks.

I love the clear water - love open water anyways - so happy to see it again.

Looks like last spring.

The Station Restaurant looks perfect.

Eisschollen...

treiben Fluss abwaerts.

How thick the ice was. Something I was wondering about while I was walking on it.

Spring in Lake Louise II

Beauty lays in the eye of the beholder.

Iceflakes. :)

Oh it looks so fluffy - I want to cuddle it.

Break free - from winters grip.

Like a desert. Those eternal waves formed by the wind.

The life giving mountain - what would the region be without them?

Mt. Fairview - Josef went to the top the other day - with snowshoes. Must have been amazing.

Castle Mountain.

Gorgeous.

Canadian Beauty.

Spring in Lake Louise III

Pretty.

The whole picture.

A waterhole. ;)

It flowed so pretty the other day - but it changes every day.

Animal-foot-steps.

Wow

Yeah - good times.

Bridge over troubled water

View from my "back window" ;)

Our Christmas tree. Beginning of Feb we through it out. J-L stuck it in the snow and there it stands. So cute - so different from all the trees around it. Still loved. Imagine it would grow roots! How amazing would that be.

Lake Agnes in Winter I

Wanted to see Lake Agnes the waterfall and the view in winter-mode so one one of those glorious sunny winter days on which I had of I went with my snowshoes to do the hike.
I took pictures of this setting a thousand times and I continue to do so cause it is breathtaking and heart stopping beautiful.

My goal for the day. The foot of the Big Bee Hive where the Tea house is located.

My favourite sculpture - slowly melting and more beautiful then ever.

Wow.

Up through the trees to the Lake.

To document the fluffiness of the snow.

Looking behind me.

The trees with sugar icing. :)

Mt Fairview on the other side of frozen and snowed Lake Louise.

A root covered in snow.

Lake Agnes in Winter II

Being at Mirror Lake 2/3 of the way. Big bee Hive towering over the scene.

View over the valley with the Rockys in the back.

My motivation for the hike.

Up at Lake Agnes. Oh this roughness.

Back home on the parking lot. Intense beautiful winter sun.

Strips in the sky.

Hm.

View from the porch - oh well yeah some trees are in the way. ;)

Low clouds covering the Mountains up.

What a weird and special sight.
